Letter From The Artistic Director
To Our Beloved Community
Beginning the evening of January 7th 2025 the Eaton Fire destroyed over 9,000 structures, and damaged over 1,000 more. Lives were lost, and thousands of lives have been impacted by this tragedy. Included in the devastation was the gorgeous land we lived on and the Theatre that was home to our productions. We are grieving and many of us feel lost and scared about what the future holds. Altadena was the most special neighborhood I had ever personally experienced in Los Angeles. The energy was peaceful, but vibrant and the pride we all felt to live in such a beautiful town was felt everywhere you went.
I fell in love with Altadena. In 2021 I was inspired to start a theatre company in the beautiful 100 year old Charles Farnsworth Park Amphitheatre. That life changing endeavor created such meaningful connections with our community, and brought about unforgettable experiences with casts, and other creatives and audiences celebrating the arts through musical theatre. These precious memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of love from all the special souls we have befriended. You are the good that shines through the darkness. I want you all to know that we have not given up. We are currently working on a plan to support the Altadena community moving forward in the effort to rebuild our town as well as serve our Los Angeles community at large. We will heal and we will gather and revel in song and story together again.
